What targeting options are available?

Reach the audience of your choice on AudioGO by selecting any of the demographic or advanced targeting options below:

  • gender; male or female
  • age group; 18 to 24, 25 to 34, 35 to 44, 45 to 54, 55 to 64, and 65+
  • location; state, county, city, MSA (metropolitan state area), DMA (designated market area), or zip code
  • device; mobile phones & tablets, PCs & laptops, or smart speakers
  • behavioral segments; choose among 221 different user statuses and interests
  • predictive audiences; choose from interests, activities, and personas derived from Comscore user data 
  • ad break; choose any combination of pre, mid, and/or post-roll inventory to determine your ad placements within podcasts
  • day parting; the day of the week and the time of day
  • genres; be it streaming content or podcast content
  • language; Spanish or English

Note that behavioral segments are only available for steaming ad campaigns. While contextual audiences, predictive audiences, and ad break targeting are exclusive to podcast ad campaigns.

Can I target by location?

You can target the location of listeners on AudioGO by using any of the below options:

  • DMA: Designated Market Area, is really just industry-speak for a media market.
  • MSA: Metropolitan Statistical Area, is a city and its surrounding suburbs.
  • Zip Code: the most granular of our location targets.
  • City: for targeting active listeners within a city's limits.
  • County: this, and either of the above four options are fine choices for awareness campaigns.
  • State: this includes all 50 states and American territories, including Puerto Rico.
Can I target by music genre?

Can I advertise on podcasts?

Yes, you can! To advertise on podcasts, it's just a matter of following these three simple steps:

  1. Select 'Podcast' as part of the first step in creating your ad campaign
  2. Proceed to upload or create your podcast audio and display creatives
    Note: podcast ads have no musical background tracks. And unless Retargeting is selected, we will NOT host display banners for your podcast ad campaigns
  3. Then choose your audience targeting among the following three options: 
    'Predictive Audiences by Comscore', podcast genre topics, and ad position targeting

And when everything is to your liking, go ahead and hit 'Schedule campaign.'

Note: when adding Predictive Audience segments to your campaign, our system will know to target each one of the options you select individually. If using any combination of Predictive Audiences AND genre targeting in your podcast campaign, each segment you pick is added to the other, creating a comprehensive listening audience.
