Tetsuya Ishikawa, Japanese by birth, grew up in London and attended Eton College before reading Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University. His banking career included Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and ABN AMRO. He was made redundant by Morgan Stanley in May 2008.

Tom Lawrence has appeared on TV in the 'Inspector Lynley Mysteries' and 'Doctors', and on BBC Radio in 'Like an Angel', 'Made in China', 'The Making of Napoleon', 'Dead Perfect' and 'Dixon of Dock Green: Little Boy Blue'. His films include 'Stage Beauty', and among his numerous stage credits are 'Biloxi Blues', 'House', 'Oliver Twist', 'Death in Venice' and 'The Masque of the Red Death'.
