The TARDIS materialises on board the maiden voyage of a pioneering space cruiser, travelling from Earth to the planet Eternity. The Doctor has just started exploring the huge, hi-tech Interstitial Transposition Vehicle when there is a loud bang, a massive jolt and a flash of light. Shortly afterwards, he discovers that nearly all the passengers and crew have disappeared. Unless the Doctor and flight attendant Sugar MacAuley can take control and steer the ship, they could crash-land or keep slipping through space forever. And as if that wasn't enough, something awful awaits them on Eternity.Written exclusively for audio by Dan Abnett and read by David Tennant, 'Doctor Who: The Last Voyage' features the Doctor as played by David Tennant in the acclaimed hit series from BBC Television.

Review By Marty Moose - While the other reviewer didn't particularly care for it I absolutely love this story. I've owned this since it came out & it is easily one of the disc sets that I've listened to the most. There's something about his Sugar MacAuley eagerness and accent that I love. While the story doesn't end quite as most Who stories do (I don't wish to give away too much), it is a great ride that I enjoy quite a bit.

A little more resolution would be nice, but sometimes the ride to the destination is thrilling enough. (Posted on December 13, 2012)

Review By Joel - A decent story falling carelessly and unbounded in the David Tennant Dr. Who travels. Tennant does well with his own voice and narration, but conveys unconvincing female voices. This left me unconcerned and emotionally disconnected for his one-time companion Sugar McCauley. Hints that the doctors name could be revealed was more a tantalizing herring than of any relevance to the story, and the nemesis an un-compelling foe more deadly than terrifying. Two stars, eh.
