To mark the 400th anniversary of this ‘noblest monument of English prose’, James Naughtie tells the story of how and why James I (VI of Scotland), commissioned a new translation of Christianity’s holy book.In the second of three programmes, James Naughtie visits Oxford’s Bodleian Library and the Tower Room at Corpus Christi College, both of which were locations for the translation of the King James Bible.
