Review By Drew - Anton Lesser once again portrays the private informer Falco in this fifth dramatization. In my opinion it's the weakest of them all, just not as interesting a storyline as the others. Still, a Falco fan will find this a reasonably good listen. (Posted on 17 April 2013)

Marcus Didius Falco returns to Rome after a six month mission, only to find that trouble is brewing involving members of his family – both dead and alive. A centurion is harassing his mother, demanding a debt he claims is owed to him by Falco’s brother, the deceased Festus.

The centurion’s claim that Festus was involved in a shipping syndicate transporting valuables from Greece and that he owes his crew their promised share of the money, seems suspicious to Falco. Almost certain that Festus did not leave a legacy, he comes to blow with the adamant centurion - with disastrous consequences. In order to put the matter straight, he must confront his brother’s past before the unsolved mystery poses a dangerous threat to his own life.
