Described by the Daily Telegraph as ‘the wizard of the talking book’, Martin Jarvis has made the voices of William and his gang of outlaws his own in these marvellous readings. Roar with laughter as the lovable rogue, hampered by the loathsome Violet Elizabeth, wreaks havoc in this ever-popular series of stories.‘There’s nothing to touch them’ - Independent on Sunday.

Like another reviewer I agree there is nothing better that actually reading to your child but there are times when this is just not possible, our daily commute for example and having a child who, despite his few years has a great love of stories this is a nightmare for him (and I don't like books being thrown at me while I'm driving).
History over with, the Just William stories are wonderful, not too long but splendidly writen, Martin reads them fantastically and portrays each character well. Despite the era in which these stories are based having long gone, the sense of adventure will never fade or diminish and has the family, both old and young in fits of laughter with Williams cheeky exploits.
Will I get more of the series? Definately!
Do I sit and secretly listen to these alone in the car? Yes, I admit, I'm hooked LOL (Posted on 5 April 2013)

This particular selection contains my all time favourite William story " The Outlaws and the Triplets" and one that you too will enjoy.
Another one for the whole family to enjoy but just as good as a solitary listen ,maybe on the journey home after a tiresome day at work. (Posted on 9 February 2013)

I've never been a Martin Jarvis fan but he reads the stories perfectly, doing just the right voice for everyone including his hilarious rendition of the lisping 6 year-old Violet Elizabeth. We have 3 of the William audiobooks but we won't stop until we have all of them. It really doesn't matter what order you listen to the books in. All of the stories stand alone, they are all equally entertaining and nobody ever ages although times do change and William takes things like World War 2 in his stride just as much as television.
You don't even need children to listen to William. What could be better than lazing in a hammock by a pool, sipping a cocktail and chuckling along with Williams' anarchic adventures on your ipod? Sounds like paradise to me. (Posted on 27 January 2013)
