The only problem here is the quality of the recording. I appreciate that this is noted as a 'lost' episode (although 'found' would probably be more accurate) but that description really doesn't convey quite how dreadful the sound quality is. I appreciate that this recording was sourced from an off air tape, the only known surviving copy of the episode and thus low quality is to be expected, but again even that description doesn't quite convey just how poor the sound quality is.
This is for Hancock completists only. I am one. I have it and I enjoyed it. But if simple nostalgia is your reason for buying a Hancock or you want to sample the series there are many other episodes on this site which are the equal of this in performance and scripting and far its superior in terms of recording quality.
My personal view is that everyone should buy and listen to all of Hancock's Half Hour. But that they should certainly listen to this one last. (Posted on 5 March 2013)
