Doctor Who is arguably the world’s most famous time traveller and the wacky Doctor is often accompanied on his zany adventures by his loyal friends. In The Macra Terror, Polly and Ben all get in on the action and as they soon find all is not what it seems when they visit a seemingly far-too-happy holiday camp - which has a really strange aura about it.
As appearances prove to be deceptive, the Doctor soon uncovers a danger lurking beneath the surface as an eerie shadowy presence rears its ugly head. Is the spooky presence controlling the brainwashed inhabitants with its sinister propaganda, are the Macra crab-like beasts behind the strange goings-on or are they one of the same?
As the Doctor explores deeper into the mystery that surrounds the weirdly upbeat camp, he finds a colony of humans mining a gas that the Macra use to survive, Without the gas, the crab-like foes will surely die but when Ben is captured, the Doctor will have to race against time to destroy the enemy and save Ben from their evil clutches…
This is a formerly ‘lost’ archive from the BBC that has been reworked for CD audiobook featuring English actor and star of the second Doctor Who series Patrick Troughton as the voice of the Doctor.
