Matt Smith and Clare Corbett read this exclusive audio adventure featuring the Eleventh Doctor and Amy Pond, with original music and sound design. When Lord Woolcroft and his team break open the fabled Tomb of Artemis, sealed for thousands of years, they are astonished by what they find inside... The Doctor and Amy have come to Smyrna in 1929 to investigate a mystery. The Doctor knows that something very bad happened there: something that caused a lot of people to die and an entire, magnificent Temple to be found and then immediately lost again. But he doesn't know what is picking off the archaeologists one by one, or how it is connected to the terrifying howling in the night. And as he and Amy get closer to the terrible truth behind an ancient evil, he begins to wish he'd never found out. Written specially for audio by James Goss, and read by Matt Smith as the Doctor and Clare Corbett as Helen Stapleton, 'The Hounds of Artemis' features the Doctor and Amy Pond as played by Matt Smith and Karen Gillan in the acclaimed hit series from BBC Television.

The dynamic Doctor is at it again, exploring hazardous locations and setting out to solve mysterious conundrums that seem to follow him wherever he goes. Together with his trusty companion Amy Pond, the impetuous Time Lord is on a mission to discover who or what is causing archaeologists to regularly disappear after a special temple is unearthed.

It's 1929 and the Doctor and Amy are on their way to Smyrna to try and uncover exactly what happened to the inquisitive Lord Woolcroft and all the archaeologists who followed his unfortunate fate. Woolcroft had managed to open up a tomb: the legendary Tomb of Artemis. With it he unlocked a mass of woeful possibilities for anyone who dared to follow in his footsteps.

But can the determined Doctor discover the secrets behind the sinister tomb? Or will he be the next to suffer at the hands of its dark powers?

Having been created especially for audio, this story was wonderfully written by James Goss and it stars actor Matt Smith and frequent Doctor Who narrator Clare Corbett. Listeners will recognise Smith from the BBC show in which he starred as the eleventh Doctor and on this CD audiobook he reprises his iconic role and will have your attention from start to finish.
