Paradox Lost is written by English author George Mann as we join the ever-wacky Doctor Who on another one of his equally zany missions. In Paradox Lost a terrifying gang of ruthless grey-skinned creatures attacks a harmless thief in London in 1910. They work like a pack of rats to consume their prey but instead of simply killing him, they slowly yet purposefully devour his mind.
Time is shot forward to London in 2789 as the remains of an old android are pulled up from the Thames. Someone reactivates the android that has a warning for the people of London but its message can be heard by a man known only as ‘the Doctor’. Cue Doctor Who and his companions Amy and Rory as they struggle to solve yet another mystery that has been rumbling on for 1,000 years. If they fail to heed the android’s warning, the world will be consumed by the alien Squall…
This CD audiobook is wonderfully read by British actor Nicholas Briggs, who is most famous for providing his voice to the dreaded Dalek machines in the BBC hit TV series Dr Who.
