Review By ME - Such a great script by Paul Magrs. A brilliant opening to a five part inter-linked story. It's great to see (or should I say 'hear') Tom Baker back as the Doctor. (Posted on 22 May 2012)

Captain Mike Yates is bewildered and intrigued when he spots an advert in the paper that seems to be recruiting for somebody of his exact description. His status as a retired army captain with specialist knowledge in the field of giant maggots, ingenious spiders and prehistoric beasts make him the ideal sought candidate.

It is through his response that he is reunited with an old and eccentric friend, his former UNIT colleague, the Fourth Doctor. But after the passing of three decades, they certainly are not the types to engage in typical catch-up chit chat. Instead, the Doctor tells his old acquaintance about his recent encounter with a swarm of alien hornets, hoping that Yates will be able to shed some light on the occurrence.

As The Doctor recounts his story, it quickly becomes clear to the retired captain that the entire planet is in serious jeopardy. With an evil and powerful enemy at large, the Doctor and Captain Yates must join forces once more to save Earth from a terrible fate.
