The Demon Of Paris is the second of five exclusive Doctor Who audio adventures that make up the Demon Quest series, by the acclaimed author Paul Magrs.
After discovering an altered copy of Toulouse-Lautrec’s Astride Bruant painting, in which the subject has been altered to bear a striking resemblance to the Doctor, he and Mrs Wibbsey take a journey back to Paris in 1894 in order to learn more about its meaning.
But when they arrive, it appears there are more pressing matters at hand amongst the frightened Parisians. A string of mysterious disappearances has thrown the city into panic, and Lautrec’s name is for some reason under high public suspicion.
In an intriguing turn of events, the Doctor finds himself involved in a performance at the iconic Moulin Rouge, whilst Mrs Wibbsey becomes the new muse of the increasingly feared artist.
What dubious secrets is the provocative printmaker hiding? It all comes together in a tense showdown at the Montmartre Cemetery, where the Doctor must finally face The Demon of Paris.
Tom Baker reawakens his role as the Fourth Doctor in this recent Doctor Who adaptation, now available for you to enjoy on CD or MP3 audiobook.
