Enjoy a time-travelling escapade as Doctor Who and his companions land the TARDIS in 17th Century Paris, find a world of swashbuckling sword fighting and treasonous plots – and wind up in a battle against the English!
Whilst the Doctor fights musketeers, Peri discovers a plot to overthrow the Queen and Erimem catches the eye of the King. This audiobook for MP3 never takes itself too seriously and creates some fantastic intrigue throughout the four action-filled and intriguing historical episodes.
This Big Finish production is one of their full cast recordings featuring the vocal talents of Peter Davison as the fifth Doctor, alongside Nicola Bryant as Peri Brown and new companion Caroline Morris as Erimem. The friendship of the two companions grows in this tale, with Davison taking on a father-figure role for some great interchanges between the TARDIS team.
It’s also great to see Bryant flex her acting skills in this CD audiobook as the understated and manipulative Queen Anne – in many ways the antithesis to blustering, larger- than-life Peri! Andrew McKay’s spoilt King Louis is also well worth a listen, with Scott and Wright providing quick dialogue and witty one-liners.
