This is the third of four Big Finish MP3 audiobooks in the Dalek Empire series and it’s well scripted with strong performances by the ensemble cast. There are even a few nods to well-known episodes in the BBC Drama TV series for diehard fans to spot.

Voice of the Daleks and writer Nicholas Briggs weaves a storyline that revolves around a time paradox and visits a variety of settings in space and time. Peter Davison turns in a convincing performance as the fifth Doctor and Sarah Sutton as companion Nyssa is given plenty of airtime, which she makes the most of in this her first encounter with the Daleks.
