Review By June - The William books have always bben a favourite but nothing compares to Martin Jarvis' reading of them.
He does all the voices so well, even the irksome Violet Elizabeth Bott, that you feel like you are listening to a full cast dramatisation, and the good news is if you love this there are plenty more from Mr Jarvis to listen to.
A must have for any age and especially good for family car journeys. (Posted on 9 February 2013)

Review By FionaL - My children and I just cannot get enough of William. We have about 10 books and were thrilled to find more stories we haven't heard on Audiogo. Richmal Crompton is an impressive author. She wrote dozens of William stories over 50 years and yet none of them are stale or repetitive and William's world adapts to the changing times effortlessly. We never get tired of listening to William running rings around the rather dim grown-ups in his world. Crompton is a wonderful observer of people and one can guess that many of her characters are gentle lampoons of people she knows. She is also an adult who remembers and understands what it is to be a child. So the listener's sympathy is always with William, even in his most immoral and outrageous schemes. When you listen to William you can be the naughty child you never quite dared to be. Martin Jarvis's narration perfectly suits the stories and is very easy on the ears. This is one to have on in the background while you have quiet chores to attend to. (Posted on 27 January 2013)
