In this CD audiobook, Sarah Jane discovers a computer virus that could wipe out everything on the face of the Earth and she’ll have to use all her ingenuity to prevent it. This is also a Mr Smith-centric story, bringing one of the series’ most loved characters to the fore and putting him in danger, rather than using him as the dependable resource that so often gets the gang out of trouble.

Elizabeth Sladen’s narrative skills are wonderfully warm and reassuring; something for younger listeners to cling onto when the adventure gets tense or scary. The plot is clever enough to keep listeners engaged, but not so complicated as to make it confusing or too hard to understand and the interplay between the characters is entirely faithful to the TV series.

As Sarah Jane audiobooks for MP3 go, this is one of the best, in a series of releases that have already been consistently strong. Make space on – or behind – the sofa, snuggle up and prepare to join the intrepid journalist as she defends the Earth one more time!
