Customer Reviews

These four classic adventures are brought to you on one CD audiobook or MP3 download and represent Conan Doyle’s gifted storytelling at its very best. Filled with tension and suspense, the collection is as entertaining as all of Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes’ books, and makes a perfect addition to any audiobook collection. The world famous sleuth and his sidekick Dr. Watson are ably played by Clive Merrison and Michael Williams, and they draw the listener into a world filled with murder, revenge and fear.

The Musgrave Ritual is all about a riddle, but can Holmes and Watson put together the clues to work out who is behind the mysterious poem and what it means? In the second tale, the Reigate Squires sees Watson take Holmes for some much needed rest after a stressful case in France has left him exhausted. However, Holmes can afford to take any time off as another mysterious case drops in his lap.

In A Crooked Man, a wife is suspected of murder as Colonel James Barclay meets an untimely end. But is she guilty or has someone else worked very hard to make it look that way? The last of the four stories is The Resident Patient, in which we explore the themes of money and greed as an investment turns sour. Can Holmes prosecute the guilty party or will they meet their own fateful ending?
